The Speed Chaser Story
Speed Chaser is an engineering-led performance brand created for triathletes and time trial cyclists who share a passion for going faster. We believe that performance equipment should help athletes push their limits, refine their position, and chase personal bests, without requiring an unnecessarily expensive setup. The cost of performance cycling equipment can create a significant barrier within triathlon and time trialling. Premium materials, proprietary systems, and increasingly expensive components can make relatively small performance gains inaccessible to many athletes. Speed Chaser was created to challenge that model.
Combining engineering expertise with first-hand racing experience, we develop fast, functional, and affordable components designed around the needs of the athlete. Rather than following convention or selecting materials based on prestige, every product begins by considering the problem it needs to solve. We look at performance, comfort, ergonomics, compatibility, material requirements, manufacturing methods, and cost as part of the same engineering process.
This approach allows us to focus investment where it genuinely contributes to performance. Whether that means using advanced engineering polymers, additive manufacturing, composites, or carbon fibre, our objective is always the same: use the right material and the right manufacturing process to create a product that performs where it matters, on the bike.
But performance isn't simply about producing the lightest or stiffest component. A fast product needs to work for the athlete using it. That's why our designs prioritise real-world usability alongside aerodynamic and mechanical performance. From helping riders maintain a comfortable and stable aero position to making components compatible with a wider range of setups, we aim to remove compromises rather than introduce new ones.
Our products are developed through a combination of engineering design, mechanical testing, prototyping, and real-world riding and racing. What we learn on the road feeds directly back into the design process, allowing us to continually refine our products to improve their performance, comfort, and usability.
Ultimately, Speed Chaser is about making performance more accessible. Whether you're entering your first triathlon, refining your time trial setup, or searching for the final seconds between you and a new PB, we want more athletes to have access to equipment that helps them go faster.

Meet Dr George Adams
Speed Chaser was founded by Dr George Adams, an engineer with a PhD specialising in material fracture mechanics and a professional background spanning materials research, research evaluation, and advanced manufacturing.
George's engineering experience includes time within the aerospace industry, working with composite construction and adaptive manufacturing techniques. This combination of materials science, practical manufacturing, and research has shaped the engineering-led approach behind Speed Chaser, where products are developed around their functional requirements rather than convention or material prestige.
After taking up cycling in 2018, George quickly developed an interest in time trialling and later triathlon, along with an obsession with the engineering behind going faster. As his involvement in the sport grew, he became increasingly aware of the financial barriers surrounding performance equipment and the significant premium often attached to relatively small gains.
Speed Chaser grew from the belief that there was another way: applying sound engineering principles, intelligent material selection, and modern manufacturing techniques to develop equipment that delivers genuine performance without unnecessary cost. Today, George combines his engineering background with first-hand experience of training and racing to guide the development of Speed Chaser products, designing, testing, refining, and ultimately racing the equipment the company produces.
